To strengthen the agency world, we at Agency Engines joined forces with Orange Lions and Kerrie Finch of The FINCH Factor for an inspiring session on the world of creative awards. The event drew a full house of 75 attendees.
At How To Win An Award, award-winning experts and experienced jury members shared their insights on how agencies can approach awards more strategically. Hosted at the colorful headquarters of Tony’s Chocolonely, the event was sharply moderated by Kerrie Finch and covered three main themes:
• Why your agency should (or shouldn’t) enter awards
• The business value of awards for your agency
• Tips and tricks from some of the very best creatives in the industry
After my opening remarks on behalf of Agency Engines, Kerrie led a 90-minute panel discussion filled with questions from the audience and fresh perspectives.
Panelists:
• Eduardo Marques – CCO, Publicis Groupe Netherlands & Belgium
• Jouke Vuurmans – Partner & CCO, Monks + Chairman ADCN | Club for Creativity
• Sadira E. Furlow – Chief Global Brand & Communications, Tony’s Chocolonely
• Tanya Ponømareva – Creative Director, 180 Global
I closed the program by sharing practical information on upcoming deadlines and relevant events. The evening wrapped up with a networking reception, where conversations continued long after. Many thanks to the team at Tony’s Chocolonely for their hospitality and for hosting us at their fantastic Houthavens office.
Nils Adriaans captured the evening in a wonderful event report for Adformatie.

The value of creative awards
Awards are more than just recognition of craftsmanship: they contribute to visibility, reputation, and new business opportunities. For agencies, awards can be a powerful marketing tool – provided they are used strategically. From carefully selecting entries to leveraging wins in communication and sales, agencies can strengthen their award strategy significantly. As a specialist, I advise agencies on how to integrate awards into their broader business strategy.
